Welcome!
Please note that I am currently only seeing clients via telehealth.
I believe that what works for one person may not work for another, and finding an approach that suits you best is important. I find that therapy works best when you and I can work together to reach your goals in ways that are sustainable, can serve you long-term and feel true to who you are. More often than not, people come to therapy wanting coping and/or communication skills. I have found that, while those are helpful, the most sustainable change comes from healing the experience(s) that contribute to those difficult areas, whether it’s anxiety, depression, trouble within the workplace, conflict within your relationship or other struggles. By healing from the roots, you will naturally develop new ways of coping and communicating through a renewed understanding and connection to yourself and others. My perspective is that you know yourself best, and my first approach is to learn from you – what strengths you have, what concerns you have, and what you would like to gain from our time together.
As I discover what obstacles you may be facing, and what you would like to achieve, we can then walk together through those obstacles you’re encountering and identify new ways to help you reach your goals, as well as uncovering strategies that may have helped you in the past but got lost along the way. I believe each person carries in them unique strengths, even when it doesn’t feel like it. My goal is to support you in identifying and utilizing your strengths as you build new ones. As you become more comfortable with utilizing these new and rediscovered strengths, we can begin looking at ending our therapeutic work together or addressing new goals that have arisen.
